Liebherr offers a range of 5 models in the WGT-product line which can be tailored to exact customer requirements. Each model is accurate to VDI/VDE 2612/2613, Group 1 and can measure gears with module as low as 0.1.
Hand-lapped granite guides, air bearings, precision rotary table and Renishaw scanning probes ensure inherent mechanical precision.
Air bearings with small gaps offer low air consumption. Renishaw probes are reliable with good value replacement parts. Longer calibration intervals are possible.
Measure any gear, shaft geometry, gear cutting tools and rotors with outputs to Tier 1 and country standards. We configure WGT-machines to suit exact customer needs.

The baseplate, the linear axis guides and the counterhold are made of hand-lapped granite ensuring identical thermal behavior of the complete measuring system and long term accuracy.
For highest precision, air bearings are used in all linear axes.
High accuracy pneumatic or hydraulic rotary tables with a range of load bearing capabilities are offered, ensuring precise and fast rotary motion of the gear during inspection.
Industry standard Renishaw probes are supplied on all WGT machines, providing best in class accuracy and low cost of ownership. Liebherr is backed up by the global Renishaw support team who offer quick replacement parts, styli and accessories.
The controller was designed to handle continuous and coordinated movement of 4 axes. Liebherr sells and supports software for measuring gears and associated parts.
All these features combine to provide a gear measuring machine with the highest accuracy, reliability, ergonomics and performance.
Gears constantly contact and mesh with other gears and most often run very quickly. If gears are not manufactured to the required standard they can wear quickly, fail to deliver the correct power and can even break.
Machines built for gear inspection must perform to a higher specification than the machines used to manufacture them. All WGT machines are accurate to VDI/VDE 2612/2613, Group 1.

Software is available for all types of spur gears, worms, worm wheels, gear production tools, bevel gears, shafts and other rotationally symmetrical parts measurements.
