Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 installs chiller units against the backdrop of the Frankfurt skyline

Kastor and Pollux are twin towers in Frankfurt am Main. They bear the names of an inseparable pair of brothers from Greek mythology. The two towers form the "Forum" high-rise complex on the Platz der Einheit and are part of the Frankfurt skyline. In mid-January, a crane boom with a length of over 120 metres was added to the silhouette – an LTM 1650-8.1 from crane and heavy haulage contractor Eisele AG replaced chiller units on Kastor. Assembly and removal of the eight-axle crane, as well as all the lifting work, had to be completed over one weekend. Find out more

Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane couples timber modules with reinforced concrete carcass for care home

The Illertissen Caritas Association (illerSENIO) is currently building Germany's largest care home in Vöhringen using a timber-hybrid modular construction. In parallel to the reinforced concrete corpus, 158 completely finished residents' rooms were prefabricated at a specialist timber construction company. A Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane from Schußmann Kranservice GmbH coupled the modules and carcass. Find out more

Expertise and Liebherr power in a two-pack

A refurbished lock gate at the Gambsheim Rhine lock (France) on Europe's most important waterway had to be reinstalled in the large lock system last autumn after ten months of repairs. The company commissioned with the crane work, MSG Krandienst GmbH, based in Kehl (Baden-Württemberg), arrived on site with four mobile cranes. MSG sent two of its state-of-the-art Liebherr mobile cranes to the lock structure on the French side of the Rhine to lift the 84-tonne gate into place. Find out more

A first in Mexico: Gruas y Maniobras del Bajio takes delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1

The crane and transport company Gruas y Maniobras del Bajio S.A. de C.V. (GMB) has taken delivery of the first Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane in Mexico. The new 700-tonne crane will significantly strengthen the crane fleet of the company based in Santiago de Querétaro in central Mexico. To date, a 350-tonner was its largest mobile crane.
