Strengthening the Technical Interface to Our Customers
Since 2018, our center of excellence for Aerospace Electronics in Lindau is integrated in the Liebherr Division Aerospace and Transportation.
Beyond streamlining the design-activities in our division, we observe an increasing number of traditional system components being replaced by electrical ones. For the More Electric Aircraft (MEA) new system architecture on all aircraft levels are requested. New cross-system-functionality will evolve, new systems with different needs will appear and we are ready to support.
We understand the needs and requirements from you, the customer, capture the different demands with their multiple system functionalities as well as new cross-system designs and narrow it down to the lowest necessary complexity. We understand the electronic hardware as one of the key driver to answer your needs.
We focus on the requirements to use as much identical electronics as possible in different applications. We take the knowledge and spread out with the electronic hardware independent whether those are delivered to a system customer or as stand-alone electronic.
The electronic hardware discipline is now stronger represented in the team when it comes to capturing your needs right from the beginning and during the entire project.
To reach this, the new role Hardware Architect has been established in the Business Unit Aerospace Electronics. Our Hardware Architect thus not only coordinates all technical aspects within the electronic projects but also - with regards to challenges in the More Electric Aircraft - represents the electronic aspects in our systems and signs responsible for a reliable and mature product.
First examples can been found with our new electronic standalone products like the Remote Electronic Unit or Power Conversion Equipment where customers benefit from the new enhanced capability to capture their needs.
