04/30/2015 Dornseiff adds Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 and LR 1250 mobile and crawler cranes to its fleet

  • The LTM 1500-8.1 is the largest mobile crane in the fleet and is suitable for universal use
  • The LR 1250 crawler crane provides high load capacities and flexibility on site
  • Family-run Dornseiff relies on Liebherr's dense service network

Two new Liebherr cranes have been added to the fleet operated by Dornseiff Autokrane und Schwertransporte GmbH & Co. KG based in Burbach in the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia. An LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane and an LR 1250 crawler crane will strengthen the family-run company's crane fleet. The LTM 1500-8.1 with a maximum load capacity of 500 tonnes is the new flagship in the fleet.

Dornseiff has been providing a complete service package for heavy loads for over sixty years. Its sites in Burbach, Olpe and Wetzlar are well positioned close to the borders of the three German States of North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse. It also has a site in Sibiu in Romania. Brothers Wolfgang Dornseiff and Thomas Höchst are the second generation to head up the family-run company.

LTM 1500-8.1 heavy duty mobile crane for universal use

International crane service provider Dornseiff ordered an LTM 1500-8.1 from the Liebherr Ehingen Plant. The 8-axle all-terrain crane with a maximum load capacity of 500 tonnes will enhance the existing crane fleet at the Sibiu site in Romania. The crane was ordered with a 50-metre telescopic boom and a 91-metre lattice boom. This configuration enables it to reach hoist heights of up to 142 metres and radii of up to 108 metres. The new crane will be used for infrastructure projects, in wind power and in industry. "The LTM 1500-8.1 is a time-tested machine with sophisticated technology for universal use", says Frank Domuradt, Managing Director of Dornseiff S.R.L. (Romania) with considerable conviction. "One of the very important points for us is that Liebherr is also present in Romania. Liebherr's service network is globally established" is how Managing Director Thomas Höchst explains the decision to purchase the Liebherr heavy duty crane.

LR 1250 crawler crane is highly flexible in use

Dornseiff has also added an LR 1250 from Liebherr's Nenzing Plant to its fleet of lattice boom crawler cranes at its Olpe site. The crawler crane has a maximum load capacity of 250 tonnes. Fitted with a luffing jib it can reach hoist heights of up to 140 metres. "This crane provides very high load capacities on its luffing jib", points out Managing Director Wolfgang Dornseiff. "What's more we can react to a very wide range of site profiles due to the crane's very flexible set-up and using its hydraulic track adjustment" says Dornseiff. The "Crane-Planner" software supplied with the crane enables customers to realistically simulate and plan complex hoists in very difficult site conditions. This enhances safety for completing special tasks.

Dornseiff provides a complete range of services for heavy loads
