Liebherr mobile cranes install a weight of 180 tonnes in a tandem hoist

Teamwork in our home town – in June two Liebherr mobile cranes replaced a 20 year old debarking drum at the Sappi paper factory in Ehingen. This is also the location of the Liebherr manufacturing plant for mobile and crawler cranes. An LTM 1350-6.1 from Rieger & Moser and an LTM 1400-7.1 from Fricke-Schmidbauer worked together to carefully hoist the 90 tonnes load. Find out more

Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 mobile crane installs storage and retrieval vehicles for high-bay shelving warehouse

A Liebherr mobile crane operated by heavy haulage contractor Prangl installed several large storage and retrieval vehicles in a new high-bay shelving warehouse in Frastanz, Austria, a village in the west of the country near the border with the Principality of Lichtenstein. An LTM 1350-6.1 with a 42-metre luffing jib completed the work. Find out more

More power for Brazilian industrial company Montcalm from a Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane

Completely ready for industrial and assembly work – that is what the new LTM 1250-5.1 is facing. The mobile crane was officially handed over to Paulo Simonsen, Managing Director of the Brazilian company Montcalm Montagens Industriais S/A. on 14th of June at the Customer Days at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen. Montcalm will use its new 250-tonne crane exclusively for the company's own jobsites. Find out more

Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane installs new bells on Paderborn Cathedral

A Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane operated by Hofmann Kran-Vermietung GmbH & Co. KG played a major role in the musical enhancement of the chimes at Paderborn Cathedral. The eight existing bells were supplemented by two additional ones. The smaller one, weighing in at just one tonne, was no challenge for the 500-tonne crane. The installation of the larger bell, weighing 13.5 tonnes and with a diameter of 2.7 metres, on the other hand, demanded precision from both the crane and the installation team. Find out more

Group of Liebherr cranes hoists roof construction

The roof construction for a future industrial building near Mechernich had to be hoisted to allow its support pillars to be extended. The job in the town in the Eifel Mountains was tackled by mobile crane and heavy haulage contractor Salgert based in Lohmar using six Liebherr mobile cranes. The steel structure measuring around 500 square metres and consisting of trusses and girders had to be hoisted in full. Find out more

Kran Kompagniet conquers hoist height with Liebherr mobile crane in a flash

Up, up and away – Danish crane operator Kran Kompagniet ApS has speeded up its crane set-up work on site and has also gained hoist height by buying a new Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1. The telescopic boom on the 450-tonne mobile crane is 85 metres long, making it unique in this crane class. Find out more

Wind farm maintenance work – CEZ purchases Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane

CEZ Group in Romania has purchased a Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane and an LTM 1130-5.1 mobile crane. The subsidiary of the Czech CEZ Group runs the largest onshore wind farm in Europe. The new machines will be used for the maintenance and repair work there and for modernising the CEZ wind farm. Find out more

Customers from more than 80 countries experienced two world premieres at the Customer Days in Ehingen

According to the motto ‘Strongly connected’, Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH invited 3,000 customers to its plant in Southern Germany at 13 and 14 June. The manufacturer unveiled new crane models from its crawler and mobile crane division. During an open house day on 16 June, Liebherr invited employees’ families and friends and presented impressive mobile and crawler crane demonstrations. Find out more

75 metre telescopic boom – Liebherr unveils new LTM 1230-5.1 at its customer days

"Long, powerful and versatile" is Liebherr's description of its new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane at its customer days 2018 at the manufacturing plant in Ehingen. The highlights include the length and lifting capacity of the telescopic boom. Its predecessor, the LTM 1200-5.1, also had one of the longest telescopic booms in this crane class at 72 metres. The new 230-tonne crane not only delivers an extra 3 metres in length but also an average of 20 percent greater lifting capacity. In addition to a multi-functional folding jib, a 43 m fixed jib is also available. The Liebherr innovations VarioBase®, VarioBallast, ECOmode and ECOdrive mean that crane operators can use the new LTM 1230-5.1 with even more safety and efficiency. Find out more

Designed for maximum performance: Liebherr unveils new 800-tonne LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane

Liebherr is set to unveil a new 800-tonne crawler crane to visitors from all over the world at its 2018 customer days – the LR 1800-1.0. Outstanding lifting capacities and low cost transport around the world are the main features of the new large crane. It has been designed as a particularly powerful industrial crane for jobs with a luffing jib and derrick system, for example for power plant construction and the petrochemicals industry. For the first time the boom system features lattice sections with three system dimensions which can be telescoped into each other for transport. Find out more
