The ARJ21 takes off for its first commercial flight on June 28th

The Chinese ARJ 21 regional jet successfully completed its first commercial service on June 28th, 2016. Launch customer Chengdu Airlines flew from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and back.

The ARJ21 is equipped with an integrated air management system as well as high and low-pressure ducting from Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, center of excellence for air management systems based in Toulouse (France). Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Lindenberg (Germany), center of excellence for flight control and actuation systems as well as landing gear systems, is responsible for providing the landing gear system for the regional jet. Liebherr-Aerospace provides COMAC and the operators with parts and a range of services from its maintenance facility in Shanghai, offering technical support for the Liebherr systems and components fitted in the aircraft for the entire life cycle of the ARJ21.
