In the Maritime cranes segment the Liebherr Group develops and manufactures a versatile and well structured product range for all types of material handling in ports and at sea. The portfolio includes ship-to-shore cranes, mobile harbour cranes, offshore cranes, ship cranes, gantry cranes and reachstackers.

Apart from the comprehensive product range of port handling equipment, ship cranes and offshore cranes, in the maritime cranes segment Liebherr offers its customers a variety of digital solutions and comprehensive technical advice. State-of-the-art machines, advanced technologies, simulators, data analyses and expertise are combined to optimise and further develop the productivity and efficiency of the maritime industry. With the LHM 800, Liebherr has, e.g., the world's most powerful mobile harbour crane in its portfolio.

Production in Europe

With production sites on the Baltic Sea coast of Germany, the Atlantic coast of Ireland and the North Sea coast of Great Britain, Liebherr has a superb infrastructure for the worldwide distribution of their maritime machines. At the Rostock site in Germany Liebherr designs and manufactures mobile harbour, ship and offshore cranes. Gantry cranes or container bridges are manufactured at the site in Killarney (Ireland). At the Sunderland site in Great Britain reachstackers and special cranes are manufactured for the maritime industry. Liebherr also has several of its own sales and service subsidiaries for maritime cranes in more than 80 countries.
