EcoVadis
We see sustainability as a continuous process. With this in mind, we regularly undergo a ratings process conducted by EcoVadis, a globally recognised provider of sustainability ratings for companies. The rating not only serves to highlight progress, but also helps us to systematically identify potential improvements and drive our further development in a targeted manner.
EcoVadis in numbers
Our 2026 EcoVadis rating: Platinum
Liebherr-Hausgeräte was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum medal in 2026 and is among the top one percent of all companies rated worldwide. With 89 out of 100 points, we increased our overall rating by 14 points from the previous year and achieved our best result in the EcoVadis sustainability rating to date. The rating covers the areas of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The improvement in all four areas reflects the quality of our sustainability management system and emphasises the significance of transparent processes throughout the value chain.
The progress of our EcoVadis rating
The EcoVadis sustainability rating of Liebherr-Hausgeräte began in 2019 at the Lienz site. Since 2022, all five production sites worldwide have been included in the EcoVadis rating. The extension to all production sites underlines our commitment to taking a long-term and comprehensive view of sustainability.
About EcoVadis
EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading providers of sustainability ratings for companies. The method used for the sustainability rating measures the quality of a company’s sustainability management system on the basis of policies, measures, and results. It is based on international sustainability standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact and standard ISO 26000, which provides guidance on social responsibility to organisations. The rating takes into account 21 sustainability criteria, which are categorised under the four themes of environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Factors such as sector, company size, and operating locations are also taken into account.
