Tough ones have power: Flat-top EC-B
A new residential district is being built on historic ground not far from Versailles. The area, known as “Parc du Lac”, features a canal from the 17th century; a remnant of the Palace of Versailles' former water supply system. Liebherr tower cranes have been hard at work on the buildings' construction.
19 storeys, a building height of 65 metres, and three Liebherr tower cranes: a unique building is currently under construction in Hamburg's HafenCity area. An interplay of reinforced concrete and timber frame structures, fibre cranes, and a location on the banks of the Elbe River make this project something special.
The “Skypark Business Center” currently under construction at Luxembourg Airport is a lighthouse project in terms of office real estate. The new building brings together architecture, functionality and sustainability – and seven flat-top cranes from Liebherr are an integral part of making this happen.
Europe’s first CO2-neutral thermal spa is under construction in Milan’s San Siro district. For years, the historic De Montel stables were left to fall into disrepair. Two transport and assembly-optimised Liebherr cranes, a 125 EC-B 6 and a 240 EC-B 12 Fibre, are instrumental in this project.
A Liebherr 250 EC-B 12 flat-top crane is currently carrying out much needed work in Bad Reichenhall, Germany, where the 12th-century listed parish church of St. Zeno is undergoing renovations. One of the project’s challenges lies in the difficult ground conditions around the church. Tradler-Baumaschinen and Liebherr developed a suitable solution to ensure successful crane operation.
Five Liebherr flat-top cranes have successfully supported work on the "Elite Park" residential complex in Budapest (Hungary). The cranes provided by Bayer Construct Zrt. impressed with their flexibly adjustable jibs and straightforward assembly and disassembly.
Cranes from the EC-B series have been used for a tropical zoo enclosure, a residential and commercial building in a central location, and an office building complete with children's daycare centre.
In action at the base of Germany’s highest mountain: A Liebherr 370 EC-B 12 Fibre has been involved in a restaurant extension project at the Eibsee Hotel, situated below the Zugspitze.

Assembly via helicopter on Mont Blanc
The flat-top crane , with a 45-metre jib and a hook height of 42 metres, will support the construction of the new cable car station and the International Glacier and Climate Interpretation Centre until June 2023. Thanks to the right choice of crane, good preparation and a well-coordinated team, the assembly on Mont Blanc has gone smoothly. The unusual assembly of the 150 EC-B took around eight hours.

Residential block being built in stunning holiday destination
The Flat-Top crane 205 EC-B 10 from Liebherr is involved in the construction of 16 flats in Riva del Garda, Italy. The flats have a very good energy balance. With a hook height of 30 metres and a 50 metre jib, it can reach to every corner of the site.
The customer Angelini Remo Impresa Edile particularly likes its exclusive 2-fall operation – including for the maximum load, which puts an end to time-consuming re-reeving. That enables the crane operator to complete hoists significantly faster – and all with a fantastic view. From his cabin, the crane operator has a wonderful view of Lake Garda.
25 Liebherr tower cranes are involved in the construction of the Überseequartier, a new district in Hamburg. This is part of the well-known HafenCity urban development project and comprises 14 buildings of various types.

150 EC-B 6 Litronic Flat-Top crane marks highest point in Germany
At an altitude of 2,975m the crane is now the highest building site in Germany. The 150 EC-B is operated with a radius of 50m and a hook height of 18.6m. The crane was specially configured for this job to enable it to withstand the enormously high wind speeds of up to 280km/h and the low temperatures.
When Liebherr unveils its new EC-B series at the world’s largest construction machinery trade fair in Munich, the first new EC-Bs will already be in action – and close by at that.
