Liebherr delivers slewing drives for Magni telehandlers

The Liebherr Components division and Magni Telescopic Handlers Srl, a leading manufacturer of rotating telescopic handlers based in Modena (Italy), have signed a contract for the delivery of drives for Magni machines. By doing so, Liebherr introduces its three-stage slewing drives to the telehandler market and, thus, provides for higher precision and stability of RTH machines.

KAMAZ-Master challenges Dakar 2018 and wins again

Dakar race 2018 was the 40th in general rally-marathon that covered the territories of three countries – Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. The 9,000 km journey started on January 6, 2018, in the capital of Peru, Lima, returning back after a five-year break. After the first five days there, the race continued in Bolivia and finished on January 20 in Cordoba (Argentina).

Liebherr is partner for the construction of Europe's biggest demolition excavator

The Swiss construction company, Aregger AG, chose Liebherr Machines Bulle S.A (Switzerland) as its partner for the construction of a new demolition excavator. With an operating weight of up to 300 tonnes, the new A-Rex M9300 is currently Europe's biggest demolition excavator. Among its key components are not only elements from two Liebherr mining excavators, but also the specially developed hydraulic pumps that elevate this giant into a superior performance class. The excavator is currently in successful operation in Switzerland.

Liebherr energy storage system Liduro increases efficiency of mobile and stationary applications

At SPS IPC Drives 2017, Liebherr is presenting its in-house developed energy storage system "Liduro", which has been specially designed to increase the efficiency of mobile and stationary applications. This system concept was initially presented at Bauma 2016 and made it to the 3rd place among the nominees for the innovation award.

Agritechnica 2017: New D964 four-cylinder engine extends Liebherr diesel engine portfolio

At Agritechnica 2017, Liebherr unveils its 4-cylinder in-line D964 engine. This 9-litre engine can generate a maximum power output of 300 kW. It is part of the new generation of engines from Liebherr to comply with the EU Stage V emission standards, and will be available from 2019.

Special use for hydraulic cylinders: The bridge crushers

Researchers at the Technical University (TU) of Munich have developed a new test stand for concrete bridge beams. In order to better calculate the load-carrying capacity of these beams in the future, six hydraulic cylinders from Liebherr Components are used to press down with full force on the element until it breaks. The collected data helps in developing new, leaner constructions from ultra-high-performance concrete. Yet, above all, it could also help rescue thousands of existing bridges.

Liebherr and Deutz sign cooperation agreement for the distribution and servicing of diesel engines

Liebherr and Deutz continue to further strengthen their successful collaboration. Both companies now cooperate in the worldwide distribution and servicing of diesel engines. From now on, Deutz AG will also be distributing Liebherr engines in the power range of 200 to 620 kW.
