On Sunday, the wait was over once again: Before Bauma officially begins on April 7, 2025, and Liebherr showcases over 70 exhibits across its 14,000 m² exhibition stand, everyone came together once more. In the early evening, Liebherr employees gathered with the Liebherr family to kick off Bauma together and acknowledge the collective effort that made the company’s trade fair presence possible. After an intensive preparation phase, the excitement of presenting themselves to a global audience at Bauma was palpable among all employees.
Making Bauma 2025 possible together
The venue quickly filled with Liebherr employees from around the world, as representatives from approximately 50 countries traveled to Munich to showcase the Group at this key trade fair for construction machinery. To mark the official start, family shareholders Philipp Liebherr and Stéfanie Wohlfarth took the stage to address all employees. On behalf of the Liebherr family, they warmly welcomed everyone and expressed their gratitude to the global teams whose dedication made the Group’s presence at the fair possible.
Liebherr has been a part of Bauma for nearly 70 years—almost as long as the company’s entire history. Last year, Liebherr celebrated its 75th anniversary, reflecting on its origins and key milestones. This year, employees once again came together to create an impressive trade fair presence. Bauma is deeply embedded in Liebherr’s identity, making it a significant highlight for the entire Group. Through cutting-edge, future-ready products presented within a striking exhibition, Liebherr reinforces its position as a technology leader, inspiring customers, partners, and a broad audience with visionary concepts for the construction site of the future.
In their speech, Mr. Liebherr and Ms. Wohlfarth also addressed this year's motto “Hands on the future”, which Liebherr has chosen for Bauma. This expresses how the Group intends to tackle the challenges of tomorrow: proactively and most of all together. Because the future belongs to those who help shape it and lend a hand. Liebherr sees itself as a reliable technology partner that drives innovation hand in hand with its customers in order to develop practical and individually fitted product solutions. This attitude has already accompanied Liebherr throughout the 75-year history of the Liebherr Group and the family-owned company will also be presenting itself with this attitude at Bauma 2025. After all, employees lending a hand was also essential for the preparation of Bauma: For months, helping hands were involved in setting up the stand, transporting the exhibits, planning the trade fair appearance, but also in working together with all colleagues: all for a common goal, which now begins with Bauma.
The central topics of this year's trade fair appearance were also incorporated into the speech: Partnership and customer centricity, digitalisation, product excellence and responsibility.
The speech was the kick-off to an evening together with all colleagues. A successful start to an exciting and challenging trade fair season. Over the course of the week, between 1,500 and 2,000 employees from all over the world will travel to Munich to represent Liebherr at Bauma.
