Liebherr apprentice is German champion in welding

Marven Vöge from the Liebherr Academy in Rostock has triumphed in the German qualifying round for the 43rd WorldSkills championships in the area of welding.

At the EnergyDecentral 2014 trade fair in Hanover, Liebherr is presenting its further developed and fully equipped gas engines. With the validated and tested “Plug&Play” solution, customers can concentrate on the design and installation of their combined heat and power units or biogas facilities.

Liebherr-Aerospace will present systems and components from all its products lines at this year’s Airshow China.

As a leading supplier to the international aviation industry, Liebherr-Aerospace is participating in the 10th Airshow China, which is held from November 11 to 16, 2014 in Zhuhai (China). In addition to products from the fields of air management, flight control and actuation, gearboxes and landing gear systems, the company will present its customer service activities.

At stand no. E1-1 in Hall 1, the company will for example exhibit an air conditioning pack and a mock-up main landing gear system for COMAC’s C919 as well as flight control components for various helicopter programs will be on display.

By investing in an LTM 1750-9.1 from Liebherr Kran Saller based in Deggendorf has massively boosted its crane fleet. The new flagship with a maximum load capacity of 750 tonnes was delivered in July. The large crane was recently used at Berngerode wind farm where it erected concrete towers up to 89 metres high for twelve wind turbines.

New spare parts logistics centre for Liebherr construction machines in Oberopfingen (Kirchdorf an der Iller, Germany)

The Liebherr Group has set-up a new logistics centre in July 2013 in Oberopfingen by Kirchdorf an der Iller (Baden-Württemberg). From early 2015, this will be the base from which spare parts for Liebherr earth moving machinery will be supplied around the world. In the long term, spare parts logistics for additional construction machinery will also find its home here. The investment value for the first stage of construction is in excess of 115 million euros.

Liebherr expands the range of the new Generation 6 crawler tractors upwards – World première of PR 746 and PR 756

Liebherr is expanding the Generation 6 crawler tractor programme to include the PR 746 Litronic and PR 756 Litronic models. This means that, with the PR 736 Litronic presented at the Bauma 2013 trade fair, Liebherr is offering three crawler tractors that comply with the stage IV / tier 4f emissions standards.

In the "Stuttgart-Ulm" infrastructure project, a total of nine Liebherr tunnel excavators are being used for drilling work. The ARGE "Tunnel Cannstatt", for example, is currently running two Liebherr R 944 C Tunnel models and also an R 924 Compact Tunnel model to construct the mainline railway in Bad Cannstatt. A third R 944 C Tunnel model is to join them later.
