A large number of the most important ports will in future be equipped with next-generation reachstackers from Liebherr. A low diesel consumption and a good customer service network were the decisive arguments that helped Liebherr to win the tenders.

Under new management – Treffler modernises crane fleet with Liebherr mobile cranes

The Maxikraft Group took over Munich-based crane hire company Treffler on 1 October last year. The company ordered seven new Liebherr mobile cranes with lifting capacities of up to 230 tonnes to modernise the complete fleet. Four of the cranes were delivered in January. The other three cranes are scheduled to be delivered in the spring.

Ulferts & Wittrock modernises fleet with Liebherr mobile cranes

The Ulferts & Wittrock Group has taken delivery of forty new Liebherr mobile cranes during the last year. Another order package for forty cranes for delivery this year has already been signed. Ulferts & Wittrock, which is active throughout Germany, is using the new Liebherr cranes to modernise its fleet with lifting capacities of between 30 and 250 tonnes.

Exceptional performance in port handling operations: Liebherrs 200-tonne electric machine headed for China

An exceptional machine: The LH 150 ET Gantry Port Litronic is not only the first electrically-operated port handling machine in its weight class. It is also the world's largest electrically-operated Liebherr port handling machine with gantry undercarriage as well as the largest port handling machine Liebherr has ever produced. The machine was handed over and commissioned in DaFeng Port in the Chinese province of Jiangsu.

Statement concerning the Carmichael project

In 2019, the Adani Group commissioned Liebherr to supply five mining excavators for the Carmichael coal mine in the Galilee Basin in Central Queensland, Australia. The first excavator has now been assembled on site.

Boeing's 777X Maiden Flight with Liebherr Technology on Board a Success

Liebherr-Aerospace congratulates The Boeing Company on a successful first flight for the new 777X airplane. Liebherr-Aerospace has been selected to manufacture the folding wing tip system, the main gear steering system as well as actuators, hydraulic motor and power drive unit for the high lift leading edge and high lift trailing edge of the aircraft. The company manufactures the trailing edge actuators based on Boeing’s design (built-to-print), while for the leading edge actuators, Boeing entrusted Liebherr-Aerospace with the design and manufacturing of the units (built-to-spec).

Liebherr wheel loader at Samoter: Innovation Award and enhanced functionality for active personnel detection

Liebherr will be presenting a total of four wheel loaders at Samoter. This includes the 32,600 kg L 586 XPower®, the largest wheel loader in the group. A winner of the Samoter Innovation Award in the wheel loader category is installed at the rear of this exhibit: the active personnel detection from Liebherr. This assistance system increases safety during wheel loader operation by automatically warning on the display and using acoustic signals of dangers in the rear area. A special feature of this system is that it independently differentiates between people and objects. At the end of 2020, Liebherr is expanding the active personnel detection to include a brake assistant with supportive braking function. In addition to the warning signals in the cab, it also helps the machine operator to prevent collisions or accidents.

Liebherr Supplies Air Conditioning Systems for ÖBB's New Generation of Passenger Carriages

Liebherr-Transportation Systems has received the order from Siemens Mobility Austria to supply air conditioning units for 21 Viaggio intercity passenger trains. Delivery is due to commence in 2020 and be completed by December 2022.

Liebherr compact crane for Corsica – CNC Levage takes delivery of LTC 1050-3.1

Corsican crane contractor CNC Levage took delivery of a new Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 compact crane in November. It will replace an LTC 1045-3.1, which the company bought in 2011, to supplement its fleet for crane jobs in particularly constricted conditions.

Liebherr Aerospace Brasil Ltda., Guaratinguetá (Brazil), entered a new partnership with PTI Technologies Inc., based in Oxnard, California (USA) and signed a contract to become the supplier of hydraulic manifolds for Embraer’s latest aircraft.
