Highlights of the area

Due to the high material content of our products, you will make an important contribution to the company's success in purchasing.
As part of a project team, you will share responsibility for awarding decisions and series start-ups for new developments.
You will influence our global material group strategies and lead them to success together with the other companies.
Despite the decentralized structure of our Group, you will have the opportunity to represent the interests of the entire Liebherr Group vis-à-vis suppliers.
You will ensure the smooth implementation of our production programs and keep a constant eye on the company's liquidity.
Cooperation in cross-company working groups is a matter of course for us. As a result, you will not only get to know your colleagues in our global purchasing organization, but also the products of the entire Liebherr Group.

Purchasing at Liebherr offers a variety of interesting and challenging areas in which to realize and develop your potential. These include, in particular, strategic or operational tasks and areas of responsibility:

Stratgic tasks

Analyzing sourcing markets and supporting on-site supplier assessments / audits for potential suppliers as part of global sourcing strategies
Development and implementation of material group and supplier strategies as part of our global purchasing organization
Sustainable design and optimization of the supplier portfolio and supply chain, further development of existing suppliers and identification of supplier risks
Carrying out price and value analyses and supporting make-or-buy decisions
Conducting contract and price negotiations to achieve our cost and performance targets
Close and trusting cooperation with other specialist departments, in particular for new product developments and cross-divisional projects
Contributing purchasing expertise to various projects, such as the digitalization of the Group's purchasing department

Possible competencies you will use in this area section:

Curiosity and passion for technology and economic interrelationships
Enthusiasm for purchasing and possibly already experience in the areas of operational purchasing, strategic purchasing or supply chain management in a manufacturing company
Ability to work in a team and enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams across several locations
Confident handling of common MS Office applications, as well as experience in working with ERP systems
Willingness to learn and change in order to actively shape and use digitalization
Confident communication and negotiation skills
Business fluent in German and English
Determined and independent way of working, as well as a high level of decisiveness
