“We are proud of our partnership with Liebherr”
On the second day of Bauma 2025, Liebherr handed over a new HS 8130.1 to Salim Equipment Rental LLC. The machine will strengthen one of the biggest duty cycle crawler crane fleets in the GCC region and will mainly be used for ground improvement operations such as dynamic compaction.

The machine handover emphasises a strong partnership with a shared vision for the future.
“Liebherr was chosen because of its robust design, performance, reliability and unparalleled product support,” says Mr Sajil Salim, President and CEO of the Salim Equipment Group. The HS series’ range of applications is almost unlimited and includes, amongst others, work with slurry wall grabs, dragline buckets or casing oscillators. Since the cranes are equipped with an hydraulic power pack, customers have the option to use vibroflotation equipment, vibratory and impact hammers as a plug and play function. Furthermore, it can also be used as a service crane for lifting jobs. This versatility makes Liebherr’s duty cycle crawler cranes to flexible all-rounders on site. Salim Equipment Rental LLC will use the new HS 8130.1 for upcoming national infrastructure projects in the GCC region where dynamic compaction is the preferred technique for ground improvement.
The handover of the new machine reflects the strong cooperation between Liebherr and Salim Equipment Rental LLC. Also in attendance at the handover was Daikyo Kenki Co., Ltd., joint venture partner, represented by Mr Yutaro Uchida (Executive Director) and Mr Takeo Seto (Corporate Planning Officer). “We are proud of our partnership and history with Liebherr over the years and the legacy we have created together. Liebherr is a badge of honour which we wear with pride. This purchase positions us further as the rental partner of choice, having the biggest and youngest fleet of Liebherr duty cycle crawler cranes,” says Mr Sajil Salim.
