Bigge Crane Expands Perfect Fleet® with Liebherr at Bauma

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co., the second-largest crane owner in the United States, has reinforced its position as an industry leader with the expansion of its Perfect Fleet®, adding state-of-the-art Liebherr cranes to meet the growing demand for high-performance lifting solutions.

The official handover took place at Bauma, the world’s leading construction machinery trade fair in Munich, marking a significant milestone in Bigge’s long-standing partnership with Liebherr.

This latest expansion includes: 12 Liebherr LR 1300.1 SX Crawler Cranes, 2 Liebherr LR 1400 SX, 8 Liebherr LTR 1220 Telecrawlers, 4 Liebherr LR 1500 Crawler Cranes, 2 Liebherr LR 1700 Crawler Cranes, 1 Liebherr LTM 1230 All-Terrain Crane, and 3 LTM 1100-5.3.

Bigge’s Perfect Fleet® is a strategic approach to fleet management, focusing on selecting the best cranes in their class to ensure optimal performance, versatility, and cost-effectiveness for lifting operations.

In addition to the newly introduced crawler crane, Bigge also acquired three Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3 all-terrain cranes at Bauma 2025. “This latest investment reflects our ongoing commitment to bringing the very best to our most valued customers”, said Weston Settlemier, CEO of Bigge. The LTM 1100-5.3 units will join the Perfect Fleet® in Northern California, offering increased versatility, performance, and reliability to support Bigge’s growing customer base.

Bigge currently operates over 225 Liebherr Crawler Cranes, including 156 LR 1300 cranes, a testament to its trust in Liebherr’s engineering excellence and reliability. This latest investment reflects Bigge’s ongoing commitment to its partnership with Liebherr, ensuring access to innovative and high-quality lifting equipment for its customers.
