Liebherr will once again be presenting its competencies as a global market leader in the offshore crane segment at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) at stand 4717. Alongside a comprehensive offshore crane product range, Liebherr will also demonstrate the Liebherr crane simulator LiSIM for the first time on-site. With its crane control by Liebherr the simulator allows intensive training for crane drivers: In this way, safety and productivity can be further enhanced and cost-efficiency can be improved during everyday use. Such training is the basis for all crane operators at Liebherr. The LiSIM simulators are available in various models – from the compact version to the “conventional” cabin solutions and the fully-equipped 40ft container model.
In the German Pavilion at the OTC, Liebherr-Component Technologies AG will also be presenting a selection of products in the areas of hydraulic systems, large diameter bearings and gearboxes. The components and system solutions developed by Liebherr are suitable for numerous maritime applications such as cranes, marine drives and specialist equipment. Demonstrations at the stand will include various coating options in a combination of exhibits consisting of ball and roller slewing bearings. Specialized sealing systems will also be offered as reliable protection against corrosion and increased wear and tear in maritime conditions. The series range of planetary plug-in gearboxes will be represented by the gearbox PEG 550. This series is designed for installation in rope winches and is particularly interesting for companies wishing to separately purchase or produce rope winch drums and frames independently.
