Your profile
- In this position as Market Manager (m/f/d) for Hydraulic Components you develop and align the product value proposition in line with the company's goals and contribute to the continuous improvement of customer satisfaction
- You create a clear product vision and derive the product strategy and roadmap from this, while considering commercial goals
- You collaborate with engineering, sales, project management, marketing and customer service departments to ensure that relevant requirements and targets are met
- You plan and manage product strategies throughout their product life cycle, ensuring differentiation and market relevance
- You conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify trends and react to changes in the market as well as document customers and market requirements
- You take an active role in the strategy development for the business unit Hydraulics Components and contribute to setting long-term goals and priorities
- You act as the product expert for the portfolio and the market and are responsible for further developing the portfolio and monitoring the competition
- You develop business cases for new products and projects, including calculations like NPV and IRR to support informed investment decisions
- You act as central interface for all relevant stakeholders and ensure that communication with customers is efficient and targeted at all levels
- You create white papers, case studies and sales documents to present complex issues, supporting internal communication and external presentations
- You act as a product expert at internal and external events and represent the interests of the product portfolio at conferences and in front of key stakeholders
Your responsibilities
- You hold a degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable technical, business or marketing-related field; an MBA is an advantage
- You have several years of experience in product and/or market management, ideally in the hydraulics sector or a similar technical industry with a solid understanding of market dynamics and customer requirements
- You possess in-depth knowledge of portfolio management and the development of product strategies and roadmaps, supported by experience in business case preparation (e.g. NPV, IRR, PI) and strong financial modelling skills
- You excel market development through analysis, benchmarking and documentation of customer and market requirements
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence teams and stakeholders at various levels, even without direct disciplinary responsibility
- You are proficient in German and English; French is an advantage
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, etc.)
- You are endowed with strong emotional intelligence and can act as an interface between customers and internal departments, representing stakeholder interests
