Our Training Academy on site in Bulle (Switzerland) supports customers and partners in enhancing their expertise in combustion engines. Thanks to a complete range of training programmes, we share our knowledge in engine design and operation, maintenance along with diagnostics. Through a balanced mix of theory and hands-on sessions, participants acquire practical skills that directly support their fieldwork, enabling them to take on the tasks of today and tomorrow.

Our customer service team on site in Biberach (Germany) offers training courses for Liebherr OEM service technicians and staff on a regular basis. These aim at imparting practical and in-depth knowledge about drive technology. Theory goes here hand in hand with practical exercises on real components and takes centre stage. Are you joining? Testing makes a difference

Main bearings are the heart of every rotor in wind turbines. They carry enormous loads throughout the turbine’s lifetime and must, therefore, undergo rigorous testing to ensure reliability and efficiency.

A 28-meter-long and 8-meter-high test bench on our site in Biberach helps to achieve these results. It is capable of testing main bearings with an outer diameter of up to six metres. By advancing testing capabilities at this scale, we position ourselves at the forefront of technology in the wind energy sector, making a decisive contribution to cleaner and more sustainable energy supply.

Our slew drives ‒ high torque, small installation space, minimal maintenance

Roland Graf, key account manager for slew drives on our site in Biberach boasts years of hands-on experience in this field. He knows what makes these components indispensable: “Our slew drives are suitable for different environmental temperatures. From slurry tankers in the field to the pharmaceutical industry in the clean room, their flexibility makes them ideal for diverse use cases.”
