An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated Site Fitter to be based at the Goonyella Riverside Mine site (BUMA). The successful applicant will be required to uphold the customer’s standards and operational integrity on a large-scale BMA/BHP site. Reporting to the Customer Support Manager, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective and timely product and technical support services and advice to the Division’s customers. In addition, the Site Fitter is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships at site level and ensuring a high standard of service delivery. This role is offered on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster, permanent day shift only.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect plant and equipment for conformity
- Liaise and request required spare parts and parts planning
- Diagnose faults of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components
- Diagnose & repair equipment faults in a timely manner.
- Repairs and Servicing of all site OEM equipment
About you
- Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical
- Liebherr equipment experience is advantageous
- High Risk Licence LF, DG, EWP & Working at Heights preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong aptitude for troubleshooting
- Sound Microsoft Office skills
