5 facts about the LR 1300.2 SX unplugged crawler crane that you didn't know yet
Under the motto ‘Hands on the future’, Liebherr will be showcasing solutions for the construction sites of the future at Bauma 2025. Discover over 70 exhibits and a variety of individual solutions at Liebherr’s 14,000 m2 booth – including the crawler crane LR 1300.2 SX unplugged. Here are five exciting facts about this extraordinary exhibit.

Up to 13 hours without mains connection
The 300-tonne LR 1300.2 SX unplugged crane is equipped with a powerful 438 kW electric motor and can work for up to 13 hours without a mains connection – i.e. ‘unplugged’ – thanks to a 392 kWh battery.

Charges in just 4.5 to 8.5 hours
The charging time of the LR 1300.2 SX unplugged varies between 4.5 and 8.5 hours, depending on the available infrastructure. One advantage is that crane operation can continue during the loading process, which significantly increases efficiency on the construction site.

Assistance system for use on floating structures
Liebherr has developed its own operating mode for lifting operations on floating units. The operating mode contains load curves for different inclinations (0°, 1°, 2°, 3°) with corresponding protection via the load moment limitation. The inclination of the floating unit is monitored during the entire operation and displayed to the crane driver. If the permissible limit value is exceeded, a warning is issued. The lifting capacity curves are adjusted according to the respective inclination. Additionally, it prevents the maximum boom angle from being exceeded when the load is set down.

Use in urban areas and other noise-sensitive environments
The LR 1300.2 SX unplugged is an emission-free crane that produces no exhaust fumes and operates very quietly. This makes it particularly suitable for use in urban areas and other noise-sensitive areas. Reducing noise and emissions not only helps to improve working conditions on the construction site, but also to protect the environment and comply with stricter environmental regulations.

Maximum flexibility in use
The LR 1300.2 SX unplugged offers a wide range of applications and a high degree of flexibility. For particularly heavy lifting applications and long boom combinations, the lifting capacities of the LR 1300.2 SX unplugged can be improved by using the derrick equipment. The crane can be equipped with seven different jib configurations, enabling a maximum jib length of up to 169 metres. This flexibility allows the crane to be adapted to the specific requirements of different construction projects. Whether it is the construction of high-rise buildings, bridges or other large structures, the crane can be configured accordingly to achieve the required height and reach. The perfect boom combination for the respective construction site requirements can also be determined and simulated in advance in the Crane Planner 2.0 lift planning software.
