At Bauma 2019 Liebherr will present numerous innovations and product innovations for its earthmoving range. In the range „Innovation. Share&Explore“ and at daily shows visitors will be able to experience at the stand clearly the effects of future-focused technologies to the range.

Facelift: Liebherr mobile construction crane MK 88-4.1

Liebherr has updated its existing four-axle crane and will present the new MK 88-4.1 at Bauma 2019. The additional number at the end of the product name reflects the 4 axles and that it is the first version of this crane type. Featuring proven MK technology, this mobile construction crane is even more powerful and flexible than its predecessor. This is especially evident in a luffed jib position.

An addition to Liebherr's L1 series: the L1-32

Liebherr expands its L1 series and presents the L1-32 at Bauma 2019. The powerful lightweight crane is particularly characterised by its efficient transport logistics and its flexible ballast concept.

In mid-March, Swiss company Christen took delivery of the first ever new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane, which Liebherr unveiled at its Customer Days last year in Ehingen.

Long, powerful and versatile is how Liebherr presented its new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane at its Customer Days last year in Ehingen. Swiss company Christen was quickly persuaded by the features of the 230-tonne crane with its 75 metre telescopic boom and immediately placed an order for one. The management team took delivery of the first model of this new crane at the manufacturing plant on the River Danube in mid-March this year.

Frost protection for King Ludwig II’s palace garden

Every autumn, when the streams of visitors to Herrenchiemsee Palace start to dwindle, the park next to this magnificent building on the island in Chiemsee is made ready for winter. In addition to clearing thousands of plants in the gardens, this also includes protecting the fountains there from frost. A mobile crane owned by BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH was driven from the company’s headquarters to the largest of the Bavarian lakes in November with the job of hoisting large scaffold hoods over these fountains, some of which are enormous.

RMS Cranes selects Liebherr LR 1500 crawler crane for gas and oil industry construction project lift in Texas

RMS Cranes selected a Liebherr LR 1500 crawler crane to lift three demethanizer towers for a major cryogenic gas processing plant in Reeves County, Texas. One tower has been completed with two left to set next month. Each tower weighs approximately 231 US tons, and are more than 197 feet tall and 11 feet in diameter.

Two used Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile cranes and a new LR 1750/2 crawler crane for Burger

Chilean crane contractor Burger Grúas has had two used LTM 1500-8.1 mobile cranes retrofitted at the Liebherr manufacturing plant to suit the special needs of the numerous climate zones in the country. Currently the two cranes are erecting turbines at a wind farm in southern Chile. A new Liebherr LR 1750/2 crawler crane with the innovative SX boom system is already in action at a mine in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile. Later, it will also be used for erecting wind turbines.

Hess expands fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1090 4.2 mobile crane

Düsseldorf-based Hess GmbH expanded its crane fleet at the end of January with a Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane. The company specialises in company relocations, machine assembly and machine transport work and started its own crane department four years ago both for hire and for in-house crane use for machine assembly jobs.

Liebherr crane hoists smaller partner out of bridge construction site

For years the Heidingsfeld viaduct on the A3 motorway to the south of Würzburg has been one of the largest construction and traffic jam sites on the German motorway network. Now, just for a change, there has been good reason for drivers, who were previously used to sitting in a traffic jam there, to pass this massive building site at walking pace. In a spectacular procedure, a Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane hoisted its smaller partner, an LTM 1250-5.1, out of the remainder of the bridge.

On 22 February 1969 Hans Liebherr founded Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH. Customers use the company's mobile and crawler cranes worldwide in numerous industries. The approximately 3,600 employees in the company produce around 1,800 machines every year.
