In 1976 Liebherr-International AG was founded as the holding company for the Swiss Liebherr Group. Since 1983 the public limited company has been directing all central divisions of the entire Group. As members of the Board of Directors, the active members in the Liebherr family decide centrally upon fundamental issues in Group management.

Liebherr Machines Bulle SA develops and produces diesel and gas engines, injection systems, as well as hydraulic components and splitter boxes. These components and systems are not only used within the Group, other manufacturers also install them in their own machines.

In its capacity as the divisional control company, Liebherr-Component Technologies AG founded in 2007 coordinates all activities in the Components business segment. Its product program includes diesel and gas engines, hydraulic pumps and motors, hydraulic cylinders, large diameter bearings, gearboxes and rope winches, electric machines, as well as electrical and electronic control systems and components.

Liebherr-Industrieanlagen AG founded in 1978 is the engineering and project planning company in the Group. In collaboration with local partners, it plans and constructs production plants in various countries for Liebherr products in the construction machines as well as refrigerators and freezers segments.

Liebherr currently operates six first-class hotels in Ireland, Austria, and Germany. Liebherr-Hotels AG in Bulle coordinates all operations in this segment. It is one of the eleven divisional control companies in the Group.

As the trading company, Liebherr-Components AG founded in 2011 is responsible for worldwide sales of Group components and system solutions. Its portfolio includes products from mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drive and control technology.

Liebherr-Export AG is a part of the international Liebherr Group in the fields of construction machines and domestic appliances. The company operates in the export markets for several divisions of the Group.

Liebherr-Service AG in Nussbaumen supports the sales operations of Liebherr-Export AG. Customer services and maintenance of Liebherr construction machines fall within its responsibilities – in particular in the Northern Africa countries and in the Near East.
