At SMM 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the maritime industry, Liebherr signs a cooperation agreement with Twinco Pte. Ltd. The event marks Liebherr-Components' first partnership with an independent distributor for its fuel injection in Asia and significantly expands its reach across the maritime engine aftermarket.
With the signing of the cooperation agreement at SMM 2026, Liebherr-Components Deggendorf GmbH appoints Twinco Pte. Ltd. as its regional distributor in Asia for fuel injection components used in maritime and industrial engine applications.
As part of Liebherr’s fuel injection portfolio, diesel common rail systems find their use in engines of different manufacturers worldwide - including Yuchai, SNAT and Weichai. The new cooperation represents Liebherr-Components’ first distribution agreement in this field with an independent aftermarket distributor.
Being a member of the Italian-based Zephyr Group, Twinco will support Liebherr in gaining a broader and faster access to the aftermarket, leveraging an established network of end customers and service workshops already sourcing maritime engine spare parts from Twinco’s and Zephyr Group’s extensive stock and supply platform.
Based in Singapore, Twinco has a strong presence across the Far East and Pacific markets, as well as the Middle East: For more than three decades, the company has built its position in the region by supplying high-quality European engine components and technical solutions to maritime and industrial customers. The new agreement with Liebherr further strengthens this positioning, bringing additional German engineering and fuel injection technology closer to customers.
Twinco also actively works together with its sister companies – Skandiaverken in Spain, PK OEM Parts in the Netherlands, Carl Baguhn Hamburg in Germany and Carl Baguhn Barranquilla in Colombia. “Zephyr Group is a leading global independent provider of spare parts, workshop and onsite services for large maritime-type engines; its international footprint and consolidated global customer base will further support the partnership with Liebherr beyond Twinco’s core Asian markets,” explains Olav Altmann, managing director at Liebherr-Components Deggendorf GmbH.
The agreement brings together Liebherr’s technology and manufacturing expertise with Twinco’s aftermarket presence, stock availability and Zephyr Group’s global network, with the objective of making Liebherr fuel injection components and related services more readily accessible to engine operators worldwide.
