Klaas Bijlsma BV takes delivery of its 100^th earthmoving machine from Liebherr-France SAS

For years now, Klaas Bijlsma BV has been choosing Liebherr machines. The decades-long partnership is built on the positive day-to-day experience for employees and close collaboration between customer and manufacturer. This strong relationship is underpinned by both the quality of the machines and the customer support provided by the local sales partner. “The reliability, quality and ease of operation of the machines form the basis of our decision to choose Liebherr,” explains Jurjen Rotsma, Managing Director of Klaas Bijlsma BV. “For our operators, Liebherr is the Mercedes of construction machines; they wouldn’t want anything else.”

Local sales partner Wynmalen & Hausmann NV also plays a key role in customer loyalty, with outstanding availability and regular contact contributing significantly to the long standing partnership. The relationship dates back to 1972, when the first Liebherr machine – an R 941 crawler excavator – joined the fleet. A further milestone followed in 1992 with the delivery of the 50^th machine, an R 310. In February 2026, the partnership reached another landmark with the delivery of the 100^th Liebherr machine to Klaas Bijlsma BV: an R 926 crawler excavator, developed and manufactured by Liebherr France SAS in Colmar (France).

Today, Klaas Bijlsma BV operates a fleet of 26 machines including wheel loaders, crawler dozers and excavators ranging from 2 to 34 tonnes. Twelve of these are Liebherr machines: eight wheeled excavators, three crawler excavators and one wheel loader. This strong presence of Liebherr machines in the fleet underlines their regular use in the company’s operations.

Leading Dutch player in structural and civil engineering

Klaas Bijlsma BV was founded in 1932 and has been active in structural and civil engineering in the Netherlands for many years and across several generations. The company focuses its activities on road construction and pipework – two key areas for the renewal of local and regional infrastructure. Over the years, the company has developed particular expertise in constructing roadside kerbs made from perforated concrete. Its specialised work is carried out on behalf of various clients at regional, municipal and national levels, and requires sound organisation and a wealth of expertise tailored to the needs of the construction sites. Operating with a team of 28 employees, Klaas Bijlsma possesses the proven in-house expertise required to successfully complete construction projects. The diversity of the company’s work and the nature of its projects have also led to Klaas Bijlsma maintaining an extensive fleet of machinery, perfectly suited to its range of tasks. A large proportion of this fleet consists of Liebherr machinery – a decision based on the reliability and continuity of the partnership.
