The incredible R 9800 mining excavator model pictured, handcrafted by fan Ron Smith, was on display at the Liebherr Redcliffe Branch earlier this year. The 1:15 scale model took 6 months to craft and is made of Tasmanian Oak and Jarrah. Liebherr-Canada delivers new R 9150 excavator to Hammerstone Quarry
In June, Hammerstone Infrastructure Materials took delivery of an R 9150 excavator. This delivery brings Hammerstone’s number of these 150-tonne-class Liebherr excavators to three, with all of these machines working at Hammerstone’s Muskeg Quarry, one of Western Canada’s biggest limestone quarries.

Liebherr-Australia held a customer evening at its new training centre in Perth, Western Australia, late last month to celebrate its official opening. The new facility includes three dedicated training rooms equipped with different simulators and a 1,250 m2 workshop for practical training. Customers and industry peers were able to experience training simulators and other cutting-edge training technology throughout the evening.
