Downer delivers Australia’s newest R 9800 Mining Excavator
Downer Mining recently purchased a Liebherr R 9800 BH excavator for its BMA Goonyella contract mining operations. The new machine added to the fleet of Liebherr excavators purchased since 2009, which includes four R 9800 BH excavators and four R 9400 excavators, used in both coal and iron ore applications.

Modular Milestone for Liebherr-Australia

The Liebherr Mining Division has a global policy in place for tightening torques applicable to hydraulic flanges and fasteners on all Liebherr-Mining hydraulic excavators and off-road haul trucks. At MINExpo 2016, Liebherr presents its new entry into the 200-tonne excavator class for the first time in the USA: the R 9200, built to complement the broad Liebherr mining product range. The 16.3-yd³ (12.5-m³) bucket is the largest in its class, and offers sustainable performance while delivering peak fuel burn efficiency, even in the most challenging conditions. This world-class mining excavator is designed to match mining trucks with payloads of up to 154 tons (140 tonnes).

Liebherr-Mining and the Mongolian company Monnis International are again intensifying their longstanding relationship: When M.
