A Liebherr R 950 Tunnel crawler excavator is being used on one of the Grand Paris Express construction sites. In this huge project, the Liebherr R 950 Tunnel crawler excavator in shaft 807 of Line 15 is responsible for milling, creating arches and some handling operations. The Alliance Group is fully satisfied with the machine, which has an operating weight of 45 metric tonnes.

Colmar (France), October, 2019 – In early 2019, the biggest LEGO® Technic™ set ever was revealed, and it was a replica of a Liebherr model. After months of collaboration with LEGO designers, Liebherr is proud of the launch of the LEGO® Technic™ set 42100: A replica of the giant 800-tonne, 4,000 HP Liebherr R 9800 mining excavator. The product is available worldwide from October 1, 2019.

Modal shift: first results after 4 months of river transportation

Before June 3, 2019, every truck that left the Liebherr-Mining Equipment Colmar SAS site travelled an average of 500 km by using the French, German and Belgian roads to route the machines to the major seaports. Since then, these trucks take the road to the Rhine port of Colmar / Neuf-Brisach for river transport.
