More than a product showcase, Liebherr’s presence at TOC Europe centered on proven solutions and tangible customer value, combining digital, service and equipment expertise in a setting designed to encourage meaningful exchange.
A platform for shaping tomorrow’s terminals. At TOC Europe, Liebherr presented a comprehensive maritime portfolio combining digital tools and its established maritime crane ranges. A central focus was the new Parts Assistant app, an AI-powered tool that helps identify the correct crane component quickly using photo, QR-code, part number or text search, and enables direct verification and ordering. The app was introduced through live demonstrations at the stand, giving visitors practical insight into how digital solutions can support day-to-day service processes.
These were complemented by lifecycle services including Liebherr Transform and Care Packs, as well as the company’s range of mobile harbour cranes, ship-to-shore container cranes (STS) and rubber tyre gantry cranes (RTG). Additional engagement was created through the LiSIM move simulator, a mobile, high-precision crane simulator for flexible, sustainable training anywhere. A preview of the new Liebherr distance alerting feature added a forward-looking perspective on safety and assistance systems for mobile harbour crane operation.
Beyond the exhibition hall, Liebherr also offered a dedicated bus tour to the HHLA container terminal in Hamburg, where participants were given the opportunity to experience the company’s automated dual trolley ship-to-shore container cranes in operation, as well as a visit to the LiSIM ROS, a crane simulator designed specifically for Remote Operator Station (ROS) of Liebherr ship-to-shore container cranes. This provided direct insights into real-world application scenarios and enabled more detailed, practice-oriented discussions with customers and partners. In addition, selected customers were invited to visit the Liebherr production facility in Rostock, offering insights into manufacturing and engineering.
Across discussions with customers, operators and partners, conversations focused on electrification, operational efficiency and the increasing importance of integrating digital tools into everyday terminal processes.
At stand C40 in Hall B6, Liebherr Maritime Cranes presented its largest exhibition presence of recent years. The new booth concept featured two central interaction zones: a dedicated customer service and a sales island. This structure enabled visitors to engage directly with the relevant experts depending on their needs, creating a clear and intuitive flow between service-related discussions and commercial topics.
A central highlight was the Liebherr Hamburg Open House evening event, marking the official opening of the new Digital Solutions Campus in the presence of Executive Board Member and a Member of the administrative board of the Liebherr Group, Mrs. Patricia Rüf. The campus is designed as a central training environment for crane drivers and port operators, underlining Liebherr’s commitment to supporting customers with technology as well as operational expertise and skills development. During the event, the training capabilities of the Liebherr Rostock facility were also presented, offering insights into how practical training and digital solutions are combined within the company’s overall approach.
