Jandt Kranvermietung GmbH is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year and has acquired an LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane from Liebherr to mark the occasion. The Bielefeld-based company is replacing one of the three LTM 1060-3.1 cranes in its fleet with the new 60-tonne crane. Reliability and performance were the deciding factors in investing in this proven crane type again.
Jandt Kranvermietung GmbH was founded in 1950 by Friedrich Jandt and can look back on a long and successful company history. Initially, the company carried out excavation and transport work before purchasing its first mobile crane in 1964. Since 1978, the company has expanded its fleet from six vehicles to around forty. Jandt operates branches in Bielefeld, Bad Salzuflen, Detmold, Gütersloh and Holzminden. Jens Lübeck, one of the two managing directors, cites an important key to the company's decades of success: "Our strong team makes the difference. We have employees who have been with us from the start of their careers until retirement. Their experience and expertise are invaluable."
Lübeck travelled to the Liebherr manufacturing plant in Ehingen to take delivery of the anniversary crane. He reports: "We already operate three LTM 1060-3.1s in our fleet. The Liebherr 60-tonne crane is a powerful 3-axle vehicle that can be used universally, from house construction to installation of air conditioning technology to industrial applications. The compact crane is even in high demand for putting up Christmas trees, as this usually involves working in very confined spaces. The new LTM 1060-3.1 is now replacing an older machine of our three 60-tonne cranes."
Jandt operates 20 telescopic mobile cranes in its fleet. "The vast majority bear the Liebherr logo. We are particularly proud of our fleet of mobile construction cranes. It consists of two Liebherr MK 88-4.1 and MK 140-5.1 cranes, which can reach distances of up to 65 metres," says Lübeck. Managing Director Sven Diercks adds: "We are impressed by Liebherr's quality. We also appreciate the cooperative relationship and Liebherr's innovative strength. At the Bauma trade fair in April, we ordered two brand new crane types from Liebherr, the new economical LTM 1055-3.3 and the new powerful LTM 1400-6.1. Both cranes will be delivered to us next year. Liebherr mobile cranes also have the advantage of being operated in the same way, from small to large cranes. This makes the drivers' work easier and allows us to deploy our personnel flexibly."
Jandt purchased its first Liebherr mobile cranes back in the early 1980s. First, it was a truck-mounted crane from the LT 1090 series, followed later by the LTM 1060 all-terrain crane. The 4-axle 60-tonne crane was one of the first Liebherr cranes designed for combined use on and off the road.
