Liebherr’s new pallet handling system with turning and milling centres

With this in mind, Liebherr Components has introduced a new pallet handling system (PHS) at its production site in Biberach (Germany). The PHS is linked to two turning and milling centres for the production of powerful drive units and rope winches.

Canadian crane company Irving Equipment’s newest crane services branch out of Wallisville, Texas, United States. In addition to ten employees, a brand new LTM 1160-5.2 from Liebherr is now taken into service at the new depot. Irving will serve the petrochemical market in the region with the taxi crane. Having long term experience with its predecessor LTM 1160-5.1, the new Liebherr All Terrain was the logical choice for Irving.

Crane and heavy haulage contractor Schmidbauer is freshening up its fleet with a large number of Liebherr mobile cranes of all sizes – from the LTC 1050-3.1 compact crane to the newly developed LTM 1650-8.1 heavy duty crane with delivery scheduled for 2021. At the beginning of April, Werner Schmidbauer took delivery of the powerful LTM 1450-8.1 crane from Ehingen.

Lee & Sims Drilling Services puts Liebherr LB 36-410 Drill Rig on the job for South Carolina bridge project

South Carolina-based Lee & Sims Drilling Services, Inc. chooses a Liebherr LB 36-410 Drill Rig for a major regional project – building 18 drilled shafts over 9 interior bents for the new Harbor River Bridge. The rig was used to drill 8 ft. diameter shafts to depths up to 115 ft. through sandy clay, marlstone and limestone.

Accident During Overload Test

During the course of tests in line with industry standards on 2nd May 2020 in the international Port of Rostock, the offshore heavy lift crane HLC 295000 was severely damaged following an accident. Comprehensive investigations as to the cause and course of the accident are currently under way.

Liebherr mobile harbour cranes make Rostock a hub of the New Silk Road

The first containers of the New Silk Road have been loaded in the port of Rostock. EUROPORTS Germany used their recently acquired Liebherr LHM 550 mobile harbour cranes to quickly load the containers from Xi'an in China. EUROPORTS Germany plans to expand Rostock into a distribution centre and also to connect Sweden and Italy to the New Silk Road link.
