On May 8, 2018, the Domestic Appliances division of the Liebherr Group opened a new plant in Aurangabad, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Numerous personalities and dealers from all over the country were present at the opening ceremony, which was also attended by two of the Group's shareholders, Dr. Isolde Liebherr and Stéfanie Wohlfarth.
Liebherr Appliances India Private Limited specializes in the production of high-quality refrigerators and freezers for the Indian market. The new production plant covers an area of 50 acres. The Liebherr Group has invested some 5 billion rupees in the ultra-modern and flexible production facilities. The current production capacity is around 500,000 units per year, and can be expanded when necessary.
Liebherr expects demand for refrigerators in India to grow substantially in the years ahead due to the positive economic development.

Three Liebherr flat-top cranes support the transformation of Milan's Bovisa gasometers
Two early twentieth century gasometers in the Bovisa district of Milan are being redeveloped into a new innovation campus for Politecnico di Milano, based on a master plan by architect Renzo Piano. Since March 2025, three Liebherr flat-top cranes have covered the entire construction site, handling lifting and material handling work across the project.

THW builds Danube bridge using four Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 cranes
In Tuttlingen, southern Germany, four small Liebherr cranes have achieved great things: as a temporary replacement for a Danube bridge due for demolition, the LTC 1050-3.1 compact cranes erected a 70-metre-long river crossing as part of a civil defence exercise.
