Four public parks in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, are now more attractive and enjoyable, and above all greener - thanks to the dedicated efforts of around 250 employees of Liebherr Domestic Appliances Marica EOOD, as well as their families and friends. Within the framework of the Liebherr "Active Green" environment initiative the participants actively promoted a better quality of life locally in the beautiful May weather.
The aim of the annual event is to support the city of Plovdiv in its efforts to improve the quality of life. For this purpose, not only 145 benches were renovated in four public parks, but just under 60 trees and 400 shrubs were also planted. The participants also showed their motivation and energy in repairing the fences of playgrounds spanning 150 meters. The event requires a great deal of planning and organization. "But it is worth it, as we can make our own contribution to a better environment", the responsible team of Liebherr Domestic Appliances Marica EOOD happily states. "The beautiful weather and the good mood of all those present turned the event into a party. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all participating employees, their families and friends for the superb work."
The "Active Green" initiative, which started in 2012, is just one way Liebherr fulfills its responsibility to society and the environment. Liebherr has already been promoting sustainability and environment protection for many years with particularly efficient, as well as resource-saving and environmentally-friendly, production processes and economical products and technologies.
