The latter was previously located on the company’s original site in Kirchdorf an der Iller. Energy storage and energy planning for sustainable operations

The Liduro Power Port (LPO) is an energy storage system for power supply on construction sites. It allows for locally emission-free operation and charging of hybrid or fully electric construction machinery and equipment. The high power density and compact design of the LPOs enable an efficient and flexible supply of machines or construction sites with diverse power requirements.

Sustainable power supply in construction – Liebherr energy storage systems for Austrian civil protection

The Austrian Torrent and Avalanche Control Centre implements structural protection measures in areas at risk of extreme weather events, such as landslides, floods and avalanches, in order to protect the Austrian population from the damage these events can cause. The local authority in Pongau is the first to use a Liebherr energy storage system to power a construction site instead of a diesel generator. This saves around 2,000 litres of diesel per month.

As part of the project, Liebherr is supplying high-quality slewing bearings for four rail-mounted boom cranes by Cimolai Technology. Once fully assembled, the 50-ton cranes will facilitate the loading and unloading of ships in the shipyard in Dubai and facilitate port operations.
