The extensiveness of Liebherr's construction machines program is like no other! As an OEM manufacturer, the highest quality standards are achieved by in-house production of main components developed and manufactured by Liebherr. In this role, you will support our fast-growing Earth Moving division to train and work on loaders, dozers and excavators. As our newest Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work with and support experienced Liebherr Technicians to safely and effectively maintain Earth Moving machinery in our Acheson workshop.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to company health, environment and safety policies
- Attend classroom training as required and complete a recognized apprenticeship framework to a high standard
- Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled
- Following company-created checklists to inspect and test vehicles
- Performing standard electrical/mechanical repairs
- Learning repair techniques under the supervision of the Journeyman
- Testing machines before and after repair procedures
- Cleaning of equipment pre- and post- repair
- Maintaining the workshop and customer areas and keeping inventory areas well-organized
- Accurate and timely submission of reports and technical document including service reports
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies
- You are currently completing your Heavy Equipment Red Seal certification
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
- You are able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
- You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time
- Ability to work with computers and Microsoft Office suite
