About the Role:
Are you an experienced Parts Interpreter or spare parts professional with a strong interest in machinery and customer support? Do you enjoy solving technical queries, working with mechanical components and being part of a collaborative team?
As a Parts Interpreter, you will play a key role in delivering accurate parts advice while supporting our service and customer operations, drawing on your industry experience and product knowledge. Working closely with experienced colleagues across parts, service, and warehousing, you will contribute to the success of a globally respected organisation while continuing to develop your expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, timely parts interpretation to internal teams and external customers, ensuring correct identification and supply of spare parts.
- Process parts orders end-to-end, including quotation preparation, order entry, invoicing, dispatch coordination and proactive customer follow-up.
- Support service and maintenance operations by identifying parts requirements for scheduled servicing, breakdown repairs, machine rebuilds and component replacements.
- Assist with stock control activities, including cycle counts, stocktakes, discrepancy investigations and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service through professional communication and timely responses to enquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with safety, quality and company procedures at all times.
About You:
- Previous experience (ideally around 4 years) in a spare part, technical or similar role within machinery‑related industries such as earthmoving, marine, rail or industrial equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude with a genuine interest in machinery and how components work together.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately identify and interpret parts information.
- Confident using ERP, POS and Microsoft Office systems, with the ability to manage orders and data accurately.
- Forklift licence desirable for supporting warehouse and picking activities when required.
- Customer‑focused with clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
