Four Liebherr cranes from Emil Egger build trimodal transshipment terminal in Basel

Rhenus Port Logistics is investing in a new transshipment terminal in the Rhine port of Basel-Kleinhünigen (Switzerland). Emil Egger AG was tasked with the logistics for the prefabricated concrete elements. Four Liebherr cranes were deployed in Basel to maximise efficiency during all construction phases.

Berres takes delivery of Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane

Berres Kranverleih GmbH from Kleinheubach has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane. The company from Lower Franconia is replacing a 110-tonne mobile crane with the new 180-tonne crane. It will mainly be used for the assembly of precast concrete elements.

Established in large crane class: Sommer takes delivery of Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane

Sommer Kranverleih GmbH has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane. The 8-axle crane replaces an LTM 1500-8.1, with which the Bremen-based company entered the large crane class in 2017. Since then, Sommer has established itself in this segment: One LTM 1450-8.1 and two LTM 1750-9.1 are part of the Sommer crane fleet in the upper lifting capacity segment. Another LTM 1750-9.1 will be added in April.

Good things come in threes: new mobile crane for Mantovani Global Services Srl

Italian customer Mantovani Global Services Srl expands its fleet by adding a 150-tonne mobile crane. The new LTM 1150-5.3 is lining up next to an LTM 1100-5.2 and an LTM 1250-5.1.

60 years of enthusiasm for heavy loads: Bracht takes delivery of Liebherr LTM 1030-2.1 mobile crane

Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung GmbH is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The company has grown from a sole proprietorship into a group of companies with 16 locations under the motto "Lust auf Last" (translated: "Enthusiasm for heavy loads"). In April, Bracht took delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1030-2.1 adorned with the company's anniversary logo. Including the new crane, the Group currently operates 15 machines of this type.

Tight location, tight schedule: Thömen performs bridge dismantling work in Hamburg

The two railway overpasses “Ferdinandstor” and “An der Alster” are currently the scene of a major construction site directly on the Alster river in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. Crane service provider Thömen is on site with an LTM 1350-6.1 and an LTM 1650-8.1, among others, to replace the two bridges under challenging conditions. The work has been meticulously planned to ensure that the railway lines can continue to operate as smoothly as possible while the construction work is being carried out. The flyovers connect the nearby main railway station with Hamburg-Altona via five major railway lines.

Liebherr delivers an LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane to Nichols Crane Rental, Inc.

Nichols Crane Rental, Inc. continues to grow its fleet with its newest addition, the Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane.

Budrovich Contracting Co. takes delivery of the first Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2 equipped with LICCON3 in the US

Midwest- based, Budrovich Contracting Co. received the first Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2 mobile crane outfitted with LICCON3 in the United States. With another LTM 1110-5.2 mobile crane on the way, Budrovich attributes excellent training and successful implementation of Liebherr machines as valuable criteria during the purchasing process.

Liebherr présente la MK 140-5.1 lors du salon Intermat 2024

La MK 140-5.1 optimisée, la grue mobile de construction Liebherr la plus puissante, est présentée au salon des engins de construction (Intermat) de Paris. Les entreprises de construction, les charpentiers et les loueurs de grues peuvent utiliser cet engin à cinq essieux de manière flexible, que ce soit pour de courtes interventions dans les centres-villes densément construits jusqu’aux installations complexes, par exemple les raffineries. Les clients bénéficient d’une utilisation similaire de tous les engins de la série MK. Les futures prescriptions normatives seront satisfaites grâce à un développement ultérieur.

Liebherr revamps Jinert’s fleet with a new addition and a repair

The Swedish lifting and transport service provider Sven Jinert AB ordered a new LG 1750 lattice boom crane from Liebherr. At the same time, an LG 1550 that had been involved in an accident went to the Ehingen-Berg repair centre, where it was repaired and repainted.

100-tonne crane for its 100th anniversary: Bruns takes delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3

Bruns, based in Lüneburg, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Wilhelm Bruns founded a building construction business in 1924. In 1967, Bruns Kranvermietung GmbH was founded with its first mobile crane. In 2002, Bruns acquires Alex Grund GmbH Kranarbeiten und Transporte and is thus also represented with a location in Hamburg. A new Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3 mobile crane was delivered there at the beginning of April.

Working on water: LTM 1300-6.2 from Sönke Jordt erects pier

Sönke Jordt Maschinen- und Schwertransport GmbH & CO. KG has been relying on Liebherr cranes for twelve years, which it uses for assembly and dismantling work, among other things. Its most recent crane job took place in Scharbeutz Haffkrug in northern Germany, where an LTM 1300-6.2 erected a pier on which visitors will be able to walk 230 metres across the Baltic Sea this summer.
