Operations Intern, Deep Foundation Equipment & Crawler Cranes (4 Month Contract)Burlington, ON

As a 4‑month Operations Intern, you’ll work directly with colleagues, clients, and cross‑functional partners to resolve day‑to‑day operational challenges while helping shape customer service strategy and identify opportunities for improvement across the division. You’ll analyze current conditions, contribute to action plans, and support projects from initial concept through completion, all while participating in key meetings and gaining hands‑on experience that builds both confidence and capability in a dynamic, growth‑focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Interacts directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
- Contribute to the development of customer service strategy.
- Define the current condition of the division to identify opportunities and create a target condition, with action plans to improve operational results.
- Follow projects through from conception to completion, with a focus on meeting stated objectives.
- Participate in meetings as requested.
- Other functions that may be assigned.
Competencies
- Must be currently enrolled in or have just recently graduated a Mechanical/Industrial/Civil Engineering program.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in course work and/or extra-curricular activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Expertise with analyzing and reading schematics.
- Teamwork; Job requires the ability to function as part of a small team, as well as the ability to work independently.
- Critical Thinking; Using logic and reasoning to both develop solutions and identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to work within Excel, Outlook and other MS products.
