Liebherr commissions new machines for Northern Star Resources

The latest delivery included three additional PR 776 mining dozers and three R 9150 G7 100-tonne class excavators for the Kalgoorlie Super Pit. Liebherr also delivered one R 9400 G6 400-tonne class excavator and an R 9150 G7 100-tonne class excavator to Northern Star Resources’ Bannockburn Operation. An additional R 9150 G7 100-tonne class excavator is scheduled for delivery to the Kalgoorlie Super Pit in 2025.

Delivering machines that drive performance

The delivery of these machines further cements the adoption of Liebherr equipment in the Western Australian Goldfields.

PR 776 dozers and R 9150 excavators are powered by Liebherr’s proven D9512 V12 engine that is designed to complement Liebherr’s mining equipment, ensuring the durability, efficiency and performance standards demanded by gold mining operations.

Growing partnership in the Goldfields

Liebherr-Australia is set to deliver an additional R 9150 excavator to Northern Star Resources later this year, bringing the total number of Liebherr machines in the miner’s Western Australian fleet to 18.
