Se entregaron cuatro LTM 1055-3.2 a Armasuisse, la central de compras del ejército suizo, en el mes de febrero. El departamento suizo para defensa, protección civil y deporte compró un total de diez grúas de Liebherr con diferentes clases de carga útil desde 1994, incluyendo las nuevas grúas.
Las máquinas fabricadas en Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH se completaron en la sucursal suiza de Liebherr AG Reiden. Adicionalmente a pequeños complementos como cajas para madera y cadenas de nieva, así como cámaras, se había encargado también un equipamiento adicional para la construcción de puentes con vigas de acero.
