Press releases | 11/12/2013 Liebherr-Components at the 2013 Agritechnica

At the Agritechnica in Hanover, Germany, the Liebherr Group presents various innovative components at Stand E114 in Hall 01. The exhibits from the mechanical, hydraulic and electronic drive systems areas have been developed and manufactured at the various competence centres of the components division, and demonstrate the exceptional bandwidth of the division’s product programme.

At the Agritechnica 2013 Liebherr presents its most powerful engine, the G9512, with full equipment for the first time. The V12 engine with a displacement of 25 liters has a power output of 516 kW at 1,500 rpm.

At this year’s Agritechnica, trade and other visitors will be able to see the latest generation of Liebherr diesel engines. It complies with the EU stage IV / EPA Tier 4 final exhaust emission limits that come into force in 2014. Liebherr uses Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) only on these engines, an innovative technology that makes particulate filters unnecessary. The SCRonly system by Liebherr is particularly outstanding for its small installation space. Since 2012, Liebherr diesel engines are equipped with a fuel injection system from own development and manufacture. The optimum system integration results in exceptionally low fuel consumption and efficient combustion.

Control system for mobile machines

In the electronics area, Liebherr is exhibiting a control system for smaller mobile machines. The system consists of a compact control unit – a new development – with display, keypad and camera. It is a modular system based on familiar industrial standards, and is suitable for construction, agricultural and forestry machines and also for road construction machinery and communal vehicles on which high standards of freedom from vibration and shock together with resistance to temperature changes and contamination have to be complied with. The display can be supplied with a multi-image function capable of showing signals from up to four cameras simultaneously.

Additional standard features and options for gas engines

With the G9512, Liebherr will also present a gas engine at this year’s Agritechnica. This V12 engine with a displacement of 25 litres is available with outputs between 375 kW and 516 kW, making it the most powerful unit in the six-model series. Among the principal applications for Liebherr gas engines are small combined heating and power stations, biogas plants and other stationary installations; they can be operated on natural gas and biogas, as well as other gaseous fuels. At the Agritechnica, new options and standard features will be presented, for example the new ignition system and the possibility for the integration of temperature or pressure sensors.
