Fast lowering of the drilling tool can lead to the rope being unwound too quickly from the winches, should the winch no brake before the bottom of the borehole is reached. In order to prevent this, automatic slack rope detection can be activated.
The control system ensures that the winches always hold the rope taut so that no unintended slacking of the rope on the winch can occur.
The control system brakes the winches in good time in order to prevent damage to the ropes.
