Liebherr 81 K.1 tower crane at Conexpo 2017

Liebherr will be exhibiting its new 81 K.1 fast-erecting crane - an upgrade of the 81 K - at the Conexpo 2017. The new crane is more powerful and flexible: its lifting capacity has been increased by up to 20%, its jib has also been extended by 9.84 ft. (3 m) and a new external cabin is available. World premiere at the Bauma Conexpo India 2016: Liebherr NC-B top-slewing crane series

Liebherr is unveiling a new series of top-slewing cranes with a flat-top design at the Bauma Conexpo India: the NC-B cranes. The new 16 EC tower system has been developed for these cranes. The cranes also have a new, variable climbing system. The new concept includes a large number of time-tested elements from existing Liebherr top-slewing cranes. Find out more

Liebherr tower cranes in action erecting the highest building in Europe

A total of ten Liebherr tower cranes owned by rental company Sutek are currently in action for contractor Renaissance Construction, erecting the Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg, Russia. The construction project includes what will be the highest building in Europe, the Lakhta Tower, and an adjoining multi-purpose building. Three 710 HC-L 32/64 Litronic and one 357 HC-L 12/24 Litronic luffing jib cranes are being used for the construction work on the tower. Three 357 HC-L 12/24 Litronic luffing jib cranes and three 280 EC-H 12 Litronic High-Top cranes are in action on the multi-purpose building. Find out more

Liebherr 1000 EC-B 125 Litronic tower crane used for the first time to erect a wind turbine with a hub height of 149m

A Liebherr tower crane recently erected a wind turbine at an altitude of around 800m in the Prechtaler Schanze Wind Farm in the Black Forest. The 1000 EC-B with its extremely low footprint erected for the first time a wind turbine with a hub height of 149m on the hills between the towns of Gutach and Mühlenbach. The tower crane had never before been assembled to such a height for wind turbine manufacturer ENERCON – both with and without guying to the wind turbine tower. Find out more
