At the EnergyDecentral 2016, the Liebherr Components division presents its further developed and fully-equipped gas engine product line G96XX. In this way Liebherr responds to the growing demand for engines, which can be flexibly integrated into diverse applications at the changing stationary gas engine market. Apart from the base version engines offered so far, Liebherr now provides a complete package from one source. This encompasses a fully operational engine including sensors, ignition system, knock control as well as safety functions and an engine management system. Customers who integrate Liebherr’s complete engines can, therefore, be offered a “plug & play” solution. Owing to the well-balanced periphery and components, the new engines ensure a high degree of operating reliability and performance proficiency.

The highlight at the exhibition stand A 09 in hall 24 is the new 20-cylinder gas engine G9620. It features a displacement of 48.7 litres, 44% mechanical efficiency and the power output of over 1,000 kWm. The G9620 includes integrated air filters, on-engine Liebherr ECUs with calibrated datasets and a new water-cooling concept. This simplifies the work of packagers and allows greater flexibility in applications. As its predecessors, the engine design also follows the concept of a 'plug & play' solution. The new gas engine will be available in two basic versions - a 'high efficiency' and 'high response' version - and can be used both in net parallel work and island mode, as well as in 50 or 60 Hz applications. With the G9620 Liebherr fulfils the requirements on flexibility in applications on a wide spectrum of different gases and enters the megawatt market.

Moreover, the Liebherr exhibition team will provide a detailed insight into our expanded portfolio for gas applications as well as latest product developments within the framework of the EnergyDecentral forum. The presentation with the topic "The new product family G96XX by Liebherr: Entry to the megawatt market with the G9620" will take place on 16th November at 11.00 am. We cordially invite you to attend.
