09/15/2016 Liebherr at InnoTrans 2016
As one of the leading manufacturers of equipment for the rail industry, Liebherr is an established name among the exhibitors at InnoTrans. This year, from 20th to 23rd September, the company is once again presenting innovative solutions such as environmentally friendly air conditioning systems, electro-hydraulic actuator systems and a high-performance dual purpose excavator.
On stand # O/237, covering 240 m² on the Outdoor Display, Liebherr will be presenting a wide range of systems and components and once again showing visitors its strong innovative capacity in the areas of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC systems), hydraulic actuation systems and rail excavators.
A world premiere at the Liebherr-Transportation Systems exhibition stand
At this year’s InnoTrans, Liebherr-Transportation Systems GmbH & Co KG will be presenting its latest product for the first time: the MACS 8.0 Modular Air Conditioning System. The roof system is very low profile as well as lightweight and is characterized by its energy saving function and long working life.
Further highlights being presented by Liebherr-Transportation Systems at InnoTrans include an environmentally friendly air cycle air conditioning system and an electro-hydraulic actuator, which is used for the active lateral suspension of rail vehicles in order to reduce wear on the wheel/rail interface, whilst also improving travel comfort for the passengers.
In addition, animated films will provide visitors information and fascinating insights into how the HVAC systems and hydraulic actuation systems developed, manufactured and serviced by Liebherr-Transportation Systems function on board a train.
The A 922 Rail Litronic mobile excavator by Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH
Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH, Kirchdorf (Germany) is presenting the A 922 Rail Litronic mobile excavator to trade fair visitors. As a dual purpose machine, it can be used either on the road or on railway tracks, and fitted with a rail-track undercarriage for different track widths depending on the intended work area.
The railroader is characterized in particular by the economical Liebherr D834 diesel engine which drives a duplex hydraulic pump. Each pump can be controlled separately. This innovative dual-circuit hydraulic concept allows smooth operation even with high performance attachments. The A 922 Rail also combines high load capacities with outstanding comfort for the operator.
Further benefits are the add-on-axle for nationwide road travel approval in Germany and the hydraulic quick coupling system LIKUFIX, which enables the quick changeover of mechanical and hydraulic tools from the safety of the cabin. This improves efficiency, versatility and boosts productivity significantly.
The railroader A 922 Rail fully complies with all the regulations for dual purpose machines set out in EN 15746.
