Press releases | 08/05/2016 Compact and agile Liebherr earthmoving machines at the GaLaBau 2016 trade fair

  • Liebherr stand at GaLaBau 2016 in Hall 7, No. 7-424
  • Five compact special machines from the Liebherr earthmoving range
  • Début of the new wheeled excavator A 910 Compact

At the GaLaBau 2016 trade fair Liebherr showcases special machines for horticulture and landscaping in Nuremberg (Germany). From 14 - 17 September 2016 visitors can find the Liebherr stand in Hall 7, No. 7-424. Here Liebherr presents a total of five compact special machines from its earthmoving range.

At GaLaBau 2016 visitors can examine the wheeled excavator A 910 Compact with Stage IV diesel engine for the first time. The other exhibits include the R 914 Compact crawler excavator and the PR 716 crawler tractor, as well as the two wheel loaders L 506 Compact and L 507 Stereo.

The compact machines from the Liebherr earthmoving range are designed for applications in horticulture and landscape construction. Because here, on the one hand, it is about being able to manoeuvre in tight spaces. On the other hand, mobility and high performance are sought. The compact special machines from Liebherr are characterised by versatile and quickly exchangeable attachments, limited load on the bearing surface, as well as low-emission drive units.

Compact Liebherr hydraulic excavators: Extremely flexible and productive

Liebherr presents two hydraulic excavators from the compact series at GaLaBau 2016. The new A 910 Compact Litronic wheeled excavator, which meets the requirements of exhaust emissions Stage IV / Tier 4f, and the R 914 Compact Litronic crawler excavator with Stage IIIB engine, are the ideal companions on construction sites with restricted dimensions. The compact hydraulic excavators impress primarily in horticulture and landscaping, as well as in inner city areas, thanks to their productivity and high level of flexibility.

The compact Liebherr hydraulic excavators show how practical and diverse they are in daily operations. The tight spatial conditions of the construction sites are some of the biggest challenges facing machine operators when constructing outdoor facilities of public buildings or in gardens. With the tight tail swing, the short-tail excavators can be used flexibly in classic excavation work, uncovering existing components, modelling banks, compressing materials, as well as all other horticulture and landscaping activities.

The A 910 Compact Litronic is the smallest representative of the compact wheel excavators from Liebherr with an operating weight between 11,800kg and 12,800kg. With its 80 kW / 109 HP engine it meets the requirements of exhaust emissions Stage IV. It impresses with its high fuel efficiency and equally high performance. With the largest cab in its machine class, it also offers the perfect environment where the machine operator can work comfortably and productively and with maximum concentration. The simple and intuitive operation further facilitates day-to-day operations.

Wheel loaders L 506 Compact and L 507 Stereo – Practical for diverse applications

At GaLaBau 2016 Liebherr presents two machines from the segment of small wheel loaders: the L 506 Compact and the L 507 Stereo. Liebherr Compact and Stereo Loaders are used where large machines have reached their limits. Whether it is horticulture and landscaping, work in the inner city or clearing snow: numerous tool attachments, which operators can exchange as required using a mechanical quick coupler, increase the versatility in daily operations.

The compact design makes the Liebherr Compact Loader particularly flexible in its use and guarantees a high level of stability and resistance to tilting. The Liebherr Stereoloaders are characterised by their unique manoeuvrability in tight spaces. Liebherr offers a total of two compact loaders and three Stereoloaders.

Liebherr showcases the L 506 Compact at GaLaBau. With an operating weight of 5,180 kg the exhibit has a tipping load of 3,450kg. The L 506 Compact is powered by an economical 46kW / 63HP Liebherr diesel engine which satisfies exhaust emissions Stage IIIB / Tier 4. The L 507 Stereo has a tipping load of 3,712kg and an operating weight of 5,470kg. Its diesel engine meets the requirements of exhaust emissions Stage IIIB / Tier 4f and has a power rating of 50kW / 68HP.

PR 716 crawler tractor – Precise and fast processing of material

The PR 716 crawler tractor is the youngest representative of the 6th generation. Liebherr unveiled the model to the public for the first time at Bauma 2016. The successor model to the successful PR 714 has an operating weight between 13,200kg and 15,200kg and an engine power of 93kW / 126HP. The Liebherr PR 716 is powered by a 4-cylinder diesel engine that complies with the Stage IV / Tier 4f emissions standard.

With the Liebherr crawler tractor PR 716 the user can process material quickly and precisely – whether it is constructing exact grades for sports facilities or when modelling complex 3D surfaces. Thanks to the hydrostatic drive Liebherr crawler tractors are ideally suited for operation with automatic machine control systems such as laser or GPS. Conversion kits for systems from all current manufacturers are available ex works. Often in horticulture and landscaping there is little room to manoeuvre and to neatly assemble material. The unique Liebherr single-lever control showcases its qualities here. With the single-lever control the user can also precisely control the driving and working hydraulics in restricted spaces.
