Possible with remanufacturing
Calculations carried out by an external expert reveale the following key results:
Resource saving and environmental protection are closely linked.
Raw materials such as metals and crude oil are finite, plus energy is expended in their extraction and processing.
Climate-relevant emissions result when extracting oil and gas, when smelting ores, when melting and forming metals as well as when generating electricity from fossil fuels and when transporting goods by road or sea.
The CO2 footprint is thus widespread as a leading indicator for resource and climate intensity:
It includes all these energy expenditures and the resultant emissions associated with a product.
If it is possible to retain and recondition components from materials such as steel and iron and reuse these, a burden will be taken off both raw material resources and the environment.
Liebherr therefore uses the CO2 footprint as an indicator for saving potentials from remanufacturing.
The Liebherr product portfolio is as wide-ranging as the requirements of our customers. To meet these requirements, we have developed a special Reman Programme for our earthmoving and material handling customers.
The team of experts at Liebherr service partners is available to provide competent, reliable support.
