Production Manager (m/f/d) manages the production staff and increase the efficiency of the company. His duties include making sure production processes stay within budgets and deadlines and reviewing the productivity of an organization’s manufacturing equipment. This job is located in Dalian (China).
Your responsibilities
- Responsible for the machining, assembly and painting for gearboxes and hydraulic cylinders
- Ensure that production targets are met in terms quantity, quality and costs
- Identify and correct any problems that inhibit production
- Optimization of the production process drives and hydraulic cylinders
- Evaluate and establish new products and variants in the production
- Coordination of production targets and production strategy with the managing directors
- Monitoring whether safety regulations are followed in production
- Frequent production reports to the managing directors
- Management of production staff, personnel planning, and supervision
- Evaluating employee performance to identify potential for improvement
- Developing training programs
- Planning and monitoring the production budget according to labor costs, material costs, and the costs for the optimization and tools, and production facilities
- Coordinates with other department managers to ensure proper functioning of the production line slewing bearings
Your qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering, production or compareable qualification
- Several years of experience (more than 7 years) in metalworking production, ideally in plants of the same industry and 2 years study at a German university or work for 2 years in Germany desireable
- Knowledge in production planning and control
- Knowledge and skills in lean management
- Knowledge and experience in machining, hardening , painting and assembly
- Target-oriented work and sense of responsibility
- Knowledge of quality standards for the respective industry
- Skills in continuous improvement of quality and productivity
- Knowledge of occupational safety, accident prevention and environmental protection regulations
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Infor LN (ERP)
- Good language knowledge of Chinese (speaking), business fluent in English and German
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, problem solving, leadership and assertiveness
