First CRRC export project – a milestone
HVAC unit developed and manufactured by Liebherr-Transportation Systems (China) for CRRC Sifang to be integrated into the Etihad DMU prototype train
Liebherr Transportation Systems (China) has recently successfully passed the First Article Inspection (FAI) to deliver HVAC units for its first export project with CRRC SIFANG Qingdao Co. Ltd., which marks an important milestone for the still young Liebherr company.
The order given to Liebherr in late fall last year covers the delivery of HVAC units for two passenger cars and two power cars for the Etihad DMU prototype train in the Middle East.
The new HVAC saloon units offer for the pressure-protected high-speed train application an innovative redundancy concept, which can work even under most severe weather conditions. Furthermore, the units made by Liebherr provide a best-in-class air filtration system that improves the operation of this HVAC application.
