Major successes with key players on latest aircrafts’ generation
Our component support has been warmly welcomed by the market during the last months: we are proud and honored to be awarded major maintenance and support contracts on new aircraft platforms, especially during these challenging times!
Five years ago, a new generation of aircraft was arriving on the market with various Liebherr-Aerospace systems on board: Airbus A350, A320neo, A220 and then ATR 42/72 followed in 2020 with our new integrated air management system.
Our teams have been working for years – depending on each aircraft program - on the development, manufacturing and services of the flight control and actuation systems, landing gears as well as air management systems.
Now we offer support solutions all along the life cycle of the aircraft, starting with assistance for Entry-Into Service and Initial Provisioning. We bring different types of solutions to answer our customers’ needs: from on-demand support up to Pay-by-the-Hour contracts to fixed prices or landing gear overhauls. We propose also various options to fulfill our clients’ expectations, such as pool access, on-site stock or insurances.
For example, in order to ensure customer proximity and high-level performance on the Airbus A350 and A220 aircraft, we have implemented dedicated capabilities in the different regions where the fleets will be operated (Western Europe, North America, Asia…).
Airlines across the world can rely on our international network of maintenance, repair and overhaul stations and spares distribution facilities. We support already major airlines in the EUMA and APAC areas with component and spares pool services on these latest aircrafts’ generation.
We offer also full component Nose-to-Tail services through the joint-venture OEMServices, best suited to address such market demand.
That has been the choice of Ethiopian Airlines who awarded OEMServices the component support of its A350-900 fleet for several years: “Under the scope of this contract, OEMServices will be supporting Ethiopian Airlines’ 24 Airbus A350-900, of which currently 16 are in service and 8 on-order to be delivered, backed by its unique long-term in-depth know-how of the aviation industry’s supply chain.” (Source: Press release published by OEMServices on July 15, 2021 )
In parallel, major MROs are also working with us, as they know that we are committed to meet their needs and expectations to ensure their customers’ satisfaction. An example is Sabena technics who signed a ten-year Pay-by-the-Hour maintenance agreement covering the new air management system (NAMS) component repairs for all ATR42/72-600 aircraft fleets supported by the European MRO (Source: Press release published by Sabena Technics on October 20, 2021) .
Finally, major players in the component MRO are also renewing their trust in the Liebherr expertise, by signing the extension of already existing exclusive agreements for repairs on the Airbus A320ceo family to the A320neo version.
